Five Bites on Friday
Today's set of bites comes from McLean Robbins, writer of DC Modern Luxury's Hot List. (Metrocurean writes for DC magazine.)
1. Mussels and frites at Brasserie Beck
2. Chocolate pate at Jordan's in Ellicott City
3. Prickly pear margarita at Oyamel
4. Petite crispy organic chicken with pancetta, herbs and lemon at Morrison Clark Restaurant
5. Wonton tacos with ahi tuna at Zengo (at right)
Let Metrocurean readers know which dishes you're enjoying around town by e-mailing five of your favorite dishes or drinks and whether you'd like your name and a picture included to metrocurean AT gmail DOT com.

God bless you!
But seriously, the endless watch ads and luxury home promos are over the top, but have you bothered to read any of the dc-centric stories? Like the one on the chef who has an underground restaurant at her home? Or the one on beer and cheese pairings?
Believe me, I know these luxury mags come off as a joke sometimes, but I think if you can get past the people pages and pretentious ads, you might find some cool stories in DC.
