1905 Debuts Sunday Brunch

1905's Spanish tortilla, debuting at brunch this Sunday

Earlier this week, Metrocurean got a little preview of 1905's new brunch menu, which debuts this Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Ninth Street restaurant hosted a gathering of food writers and bloggers for tastes of Creole benedict with crawfish hollandaise over fried rice cakes and slices of egg and potato Spanish tortilla, drizzled with a zesty garlic parsley aioli. Also on the brunch menu: smoked trout hash, brioche french toast, shrimp and grits, and huevos rancheros.

Any comments on how it was??

Both the brunch dishes we tasted were really good. The tortilla with that sauce was really nice. And the fried rice cake is perfect hangover food - dense and starchy and fried.

I also like a dinner taste we had - shrimp over coconut rice.
