Cookology Arrives In Dulles

A new cooking school has opened in the Dulles Town Center. Cookology, a recreational cooking school, offers interactive classes for just about anyone who loves food — from kids' birthday parties to cooking fundamentals for teens and couples cooking classes.

Founder and owner Maria Kopsidas, whose passion for food was fueled by her Mediterranean family, plans to regularly bring in guest chefs from the DC area for classes. The focal point of the school is a work space for 16 people, making for fairly intimate classes.

For the list of cooking classes, visit cookologyonline.com or call 703.433.1909.

My wife and I signed up for a "date night" cooking class and had a terrible experience. When we got there, by the owner's admission, they were planning to film the course for a promotional video to attract investors. They gave us no advance notice, there was no waiver, and they refused to acknowledge that we had a reason for concern. My wife and I , along with another couple, expressed our concerns.

The owner was argumentative, rude, and clearly wasn't prepared for the questions that were asked of her. She gave us a refund, but she lost 4 out probably 20 customers that night. Not so good for what's supposed to be a promotional video.

The lack of customer service here is appalling. Spending money here, in my opinion, is an enormous waste.
