Chef Five Bites: Josh Short

Another sweets savant, Josh Short, offers up today's Chef Five Bites. Short, who just received a Rammy nomination for pastry chef of the year, whips up the delicious goods at Buzz in Alexandria and makes desserts for the Neighborhood Restaurant Group's properties — Vermilion, Tallula, EatBar, Evening Star Cafe and Rustico.

1. Lobster roll from Hank's Oyster Bar in Dupont

2. Sirloin burger at Westend Bistro

3. Moules marinieres with fries and homemade mayo at Bistrot du Coin

4. Over the hedge pizza at Pete's Apizza

5. Champagne Sundays at the Mayflower

Previous Chef Five Bites: Cathal Armstrong, Dani Arana, David Guas

Five Bites is a place for Metrocurean readers — and now DC's top chefs — to share all the delicious things they've been eating and drinking. E-mail five of your favorites and whether you'd like your name and a picture included to metrocurean AT gmail DOT com.

Damn! I was going to submit my five bites and include the Over the Hedge pizza. It is honestly the single greatest pizza in dc.
