Chef Five Bites: Cliff Wharton
TenPenh chef de cuisine Cliff Wharton, who was born in the Philippines, first met up with chef Jeff Tunks in San Diego at the Loew's Coronado Bay. From there, he accompanied Tunks to the Windsor Court Hotel in New Orleans as his sous chef, and finally, they headed to DC to open DC Coast in 1998. Wharton was tapped to head TenPenh's kitchen when it opened in 2000. Here are his Five Bites:
